Principal Investigator Advisor (PIA) monthly electronic newsletter is the official communication and education periodical of the Principal Investigators Association (a not-for-profit corporation). The aim is to present practical, useful information on down –to-earth topics related to the non-science responsibilities of a principal investigator in all fields of research. Examples are: grant writing, employee supervision, assuring research integrity, regulatory compliance, animal welfare, mentoring graduate students, lecturing, preparing reports and articles, budgeting and auditing, public relations, service on committees, etc.

What is an individual subscription?
An individual subscription to Principal Investigator Advisor allows one PI to benefit from this monthly resource. The list price of an individual subscription is $367 for 12-monthly electronic issues.

What is a bulk subscription?
A bulk subscription to Principal Investigator Advisor allows every PI and research personnel at your organization to take advantage of this complete source in training on the business, financial, and administrative side of operating their laboratories.

What is the pricing structure for a bulk subscription?
Supply PI Advisor annual (12-month) electronic subscription to all your Principal Investigators for just $1.00 (One Dollar) each. We trust you and your classification skills to determine how many PIs there are on your campus who should each get a subscription for $1.00.

For just $1 each, you can also add dean, department head, research administrator, and sponsored research staffer as authorized readers.

So the cost is a pittance. There are a few administrative requirements, in view of the ultra-low price. There must be one consolidated order, accompanied by payment check, credit card or P.O., representing the totality of the campus PIs you desire to enroll.

We do require a minimum of 1,000 authorized readers be enrolled per campus (no upper limit). So there is a minimum $1,000 “per campus payment” if a lesser enrollment than I,000 is desired. (Still an astounding bargain per reader)

How does it work?
We can email the PDF issue directly to each authorized reader. Or, you provide the IP ranges at your university. Each month when the issue is ready, it is posted on a secure site that allows your IP ranges full access to the issue and all back issues.

To keep things flowing smoothly month after month, we ask each campus appoint one liaison person as our main contact for administrative and distribution matters.
